Joanie M. Ballard
Joanie's life has included a variety of occupations, all which culminated in the creation of her business with Robert. She worked over 20 years in theatre, television and radio, both in front and behind the scenes, from DC to NYC. She draws much of inspiration and self-taught design experience from her love of interior design, art, architecture, theatre, and from being raised in an extraordinarily artistic family which daily surrounded her with art, music, poetry, and dance. Joan's job as a “fabric librarian
” with the well-known French fabric firm Brunschwig & Fils
, is attributed to the beginning of her fascination & obsession with French textiles, in particular the table linens of Le Jacquard Francais.
